I was talking with my neighbor across the fence line today, when I saw this Tiger Swallowtail. I couldn't help myself. I had to excuse myself to take pics. I've really only taken pics around family and I felt self-conscious at first. The swallowtail stayed on this thistle for about a dozen shots. My neighbor waited patiently, until I was finished. :0)

I had this happen a month or so ago....was talking to my neighbor and was so distracted by the birds,ants, b flies, etc... Finally an inch worm was creeping down her neck... I took a photo or three and she finally freaked out and screamed to get it off of her neck! Haha
It's touch when you have to desert someone mid-sentence! I hung up quickly while talking to my daughter today because a red-eyed cicada flew onto the deck where we were sitting! Nice shot, Carolyn!
