Berry Good by cjwhite

Berry Good

This male House Sparrow is a city bird. The sun was shining when I got out of work today and this little guy was hanging out in the parking lot. I don't know what type of tree this is, but this berry was very popular. The sparrow ate bits from it for awhile and then another bird came along and scared him off so it could get a taste. :0)

I really don't know where to begin to tell you how much it meant to me to win the Flora and Fauna Theme. I almost caused my husband to have heart failure when I read the email from Ross that I had won! I let out a loud scream of pure joy. The cats went running for cover. :0)

I know I've said this before, but the 365 has truly changed my life. When a friend told me about the project, I was struggling with some changes in my life. This project has been a lifesaver. I love taking pics, looking at all of your pics, and especially all the wonderful friends I have found. I am very thankful for Ross, this project, and my 365 friends!

With the bonus day in the leap year, I will end my second year tomorrow. I will continue for a third. I would be lost without the hunt for that pic of the day. :0)

I love how this little guy is going after that berry! Lovely capture. Congrats on the Flora and Fauna theme win. But you absolutely deserve it. (I'm chuckling about the dogs running!) Like you, this project has been a lifesaver for me. I had been struggling too and 365 and friends got me through a difficult time.

Such a beautiful shot. You have a gift at capturing these beautiful birds.

Congratulations on completing another year. I don't know how you have done it. I understand the wanting to hunt for that pic every day.

I like how you were able to capture him twisted upside down, determined to get that berry.

Congrats on completing your project. I see that a LOT of members began on Jan 1, and so are wrapping things up now.

Glad you're going to be sticking around for another year. :-)

I'm so glad to hear you're continuing! I love looking at your shots and the compositions you choose for them. Have learned a lot from you! I'll hope to start a new year in a few days - have spent today at a hospital with my husband who they think had a stroke late yesterday. Today was test day. He's doing pretty well for the moment but I know I'll be slowed up in picture taking for a little bit.

Glad to see you're continuing. Congratulations on winning the theme. Maybe one of mine will make it into the running this next year. I've had two make the top five, but never won.
