Gone

These pretty wildflowers have only been blooming for about a week. They are some of my favorites. I haven't seen any butterflies on them this year, but I've seen a variety of other insects. Shortly after I took this pic, my neighbor mowed them down. They were in his hayfield. I was really sorry to see them go. I know where to find a few more, but they are in the middle of a thicket I won't go into.

Thank you for your visits and comments! Things are still a bit unsettled in my life. I'm so glad to have this project right now. It's a much needed escape for me.

beautiful,! these are a fav of mine also!

pretty capture. My husband mows down my photo subjects sometimes. He thinks they are weeds. I see them as photo subjects.

Great shot of this lovely bloom - when one picks up a camera weeds cease to be weeds! I love the elegant arch of the bee/wasp? ( I am an entomologist's nightmare!) Cool capture of the essential relationship between insects and plants. - Let your life flow - we will still be here when it settles down for you.
