These pretty wildflowers have only been blooming for about a week. They are some of my favorites. I haven't seen any butterflies on them this year, but I've seen a variety of other insects. Shortly after I took this pic, my neighbor mowed them down. They were in his hayfield. I was really sorry to see them go. I know where to find a few more, but they are in the middle of a thicket I won't go into.

Great shot of this lovely bloom - when one picks up a camera weeds cease to be weeds! I love the elegant arch of the bee/wasp? ( I am an entomologist's nightmare!)
