When I pass by the Ladybug Tree I can't help but glance over to see if anyone is scurrying around.

This morning one chubby little red bug was sitting in place, nestled between thick sections of bark. I was worried about the parasitic wasps and tried my best to peek beneath them, to no avail. There was nothing I could do but continue on the mailbox.

On my way back I checked again, ready for the worst, but was relieved to see the little one had wandered off. I couldn't help but celebrate with a few shots of scurrying ladybugs... despite the fact that I'm still trying hard to avoid them.
Fantastic macro.
