I find it ironic that my favorite photo from Arches National Park was a canyon, and my favorite photo from Canyonlands National Park was an arch.
This is a photo looking down Park Avenue, a long stretch of sandstone that is reminiscent of the skyscrapers on Park Avenue in New York. We got there about 9:00 a.m., so the light was still interesting enough to cast some cool shadows and add a little depth. This place is a photographers dream! If one can be up early to catch the sunrise or stay out later for a sunset, these red rocks are amazing. Alas, sunrise and sunset happens roughly the same time right now as breakfast and dinner. Kids are much more concerned about sustenance than golden hour!
