Happened upon this tractor today in front of a barn. I drive this particular road several times each week and always admire the house near where the tractor was parked. Today is the first time I've notice the tractor OR the barn. I liked all the red and the perpendicular lines.
Thank you for your critiques and faves yesterday. The purpose of my "year" is to improve my eye and techniques, so constructive critique is always welcome.
Awesome composition. I like how the lines are vertical on the barn and horizontal on the tractor. The front tire being at an angle adds a lot to the photo too!
Hubby says this is a Farmall. Made in America. He knows his tractors - he guesses about 50's or 60s. But I love this particular shade of red reflected throughout the picture!
See, now if I had stumbled upon this I might have passed shooting it fearing it wouldn't work 'cause there was too much red on red. I'm glad you're braver than me. ;-) This turned out wonderful. FAVed!!!
Ooh! Love the reds together and the horizontal and vertical lines! Only thing I'd say is the edge of the tire and the frame converge, which isn't too bad in this because the overall image is awesome, but sometimes it can be slightly distracting. (sometimes things around the subject make it hard to have more in the frame though)
The problem for me with constructive criticism is once something is pointed out it's the one thing your eye goes back to, that and it makes me feel like I'm being a picky snot lol (Feel free to critique me to death!)
Awesome shot, really love this!
So very well done....I really love this picture. Although both the barn & tractor are red, the lines & textures set them apart. I like how you included the front tractor tire in the shot as well--excellent!
@maggiemae He would be right! Yesterday I was looking at a Photoshop tutorial, and the photo they were working on was a tractor. That is probably why this one caught my eye. Funny enough was that they were BOTH Farmall tractors.
@janets This is HDR. I like to process mine with Nik Software HDR Efex Pro within Photoshop. It is so simple and provides great results. Thx for stopping by!
