Today the Little Guy (or just "Dude" as he has asked to be called) and I visited the Dinosaur Park with some friends. Our little friend referred to it as the "Dragon Garden"...I thought that was pretty funny.
I know this is no stellar post, but I do love the natural gradation in the background darkness because of the lighting on this display. I also LOVE that this was shot at ISO 3200. I cleaned up some noise, but otherwise, the D7000 does a great job at high ISOs!
@rhoing Other than the noise reduction, I didn't do anything to this shot. No processing to change the color...that was another thing I liked about it. It does have a very antique-y feel.
@maggiemae It was a VERY dark room with lights just on the displays. Even at ISO 3200, it was still a relatively slow (for hand-held) 1/30 second exposure.
The D7000 is great with noise reduction...one of the best on the market ( can you tell I love Nikon. ;) Love this shot...love the dark mood to it..fit's the photo perfect.
oh! lighting is great, love the effect and the quality;
your camera is great because it doesn't look like "with high iso".
(also, it looks like you had a great time! :D)
Fav'd :). Love the lighting in your shot, perfect for an old dinosaur roaming around at night in the museum ,,, Always had a soft spot for fossils and bones :)
Nice shot. Has a very antique-y, sepia kind of feel. Appropriate for the subject!
