Dragon Garden

photo 129
Today the Little Guy (or just "Dude" as he has asked to be called) and I visited the Dinosaur Park with some friends. Our little friend referred to it as the "Dragon Garden"...I thought that was pretty funny.

I know this is no stellar post, but I do love the natural gradation in the background darkness because of the lighting on this display. I also LOVE that this was shot at ISO 3200. I cleaned up some noise, but otherwise, the D7000 does a great job at high ISOs!

As well it should, yes? ;)
Nice shot. Has a very antique-y, sepia kind of feel. Appropriate for the subject!

@rhoing Other than the noise reduction, I didn't do anything to this shot. No processing to change the color...that was another thing I liked about it. It does have a very antique-y feel.

Very cool! I like the darkness of it - just adds to the mood! Great job!

Why did you choose that high ISO? This is a dark picture of a dark beast!

What? You went to a Dinosaur Park and didn't invite me? Well, I never, humph!

Cool! I like the shadows in this. Did you get that without a tripod?

@binny I did! And I was surprised when I looked at the EXIF data that it was shot at 1/30 second. I just got lucky!

@cromwell I called...I guess you didn't get my message!

@maggiemae It was a VERY dark room with lights just on the displays. Even at ISO 3200, it was still a relatively slow (for hand-held) 1/30 second exposure.

That looks like an incredible place!
