1883 Historic Moore Mansion

While vacationing in Houston last month, I wandered around the downtown Richmond area and discovered the Fort Bend County Museum. It's full of history, dating back to 1822, and offers an overview of life along the Brazos River Bend. What captured my interest even more was this beautiful mansion, which was home to Congressman John M. and Lottie Dyer Moore. Four generations of the Moore family lived in the home, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
