Female Downy Woodpecker hangs out with me at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens.
As some may know, I've sold my house, but the closing has been delayed until this Friday...boxing up stuff and getting ready to move has taken time and energy, but as a respite from it all, I went out yesterday and took some photos. Here is one!
We have a suet feeder out all year and the downy and hairy woodpeckers frequent it a lot. My little granddaughter enjoys watching them the most. Great capture Cissy!!
@skipt07 Thanks, Skip - for me, the great thing about getting this one was not so much it's a great photo (not the best one I've ever taken) but this is the first Downy I've seen in San Antonio!
