I like your shot but... Nooooo! It's only November! I saw my first decorated and lit Christmas tree the other day. It was outside the local arts centre (for "arts" read "cinema") and the word "HUMBUG!" sprang to mind.
@steampowered hahahaha! I know it's commercial BUT I do have kids, one is only 11 yo and she has already done her wish list ;) but she will have to wait for the Christmas tree and the falalalalalalalala....
This site is just torture! lol I am not ready to think about Christmas. My 11yo has been giving me tips on his Xmas desires for months now! Love the simplicity of your shot Corinne!
It sounds a little early to me for that craziness to start -the most beautiful season means the busiest time of the year. But it's a good point to open the season photographically:) The image is a great illustration of this idea.
Lovely composition. Yesterday in a COOP I wanted to complain, because it was almost impossible to pass the corridors ... too much christmas extras everywhere.
It's the same here in Toronto, and I also love it--love the many manifestations of Christmas. But I make myself wait until December 1 to put up my own decorations and start playing carol CDs (I have large collections of both).
Lovely shot, I am declaring Christmas too. I need two months to make it work. I love seeing the Christmas decorations but feel it is way to early for the music in the stores - or at home either.
Love the focus on the key and the Christmassy red sparkle. They're everywhere here to but I'll feel more comfortable once I have all my shopping done :o) xx
@missmercy it opens...nothing at all, in fact and it's funny I had it in a cake....In France we use to eat a special cake for the epiphany, it's called a "galette des rois" and we hide a little objet inside, the one who find the little "treasure" is declared to be the king....or the queen !
