@marlboromaam in Germany and Switzerland kids can have what they call here “school in the woods”, they learn to light a fire, cooking, building hutts and cabins, orientation, botanic but also more classical fields like mathematics and so on , it’s very interesting to see them learning thinking they are just playing ;)
It's a nice way for children to learn (hands on) and good for them to learn "real life" skills in addition to the usual school work. Parents don't always have the ability/opportunity to teach some of these things.
