Tiny heart on green.

Taken in Basel, Switzerland.
Heart for my fifth year of hearts.
I see the heart and I'm also intrigued by the street names. Bruderholzstrasse and if I make it out correct. Baselstrasse. Do they speak German in Switzerland. German is my mother tongue.

@bruni yes Bruni 80% if Switzerland is German speaker, only 18% French speaker and the 2% left Italian , there’s a fourth official language called Romanche spoken by only 60000 persons in the country.
I live in the German part , the oral language is not the “high German” it’s the “Swiss German” a bit different , but they do write in high German ...
I don’t speak Swiss German and my German is really bad ( my husband is half German , born in the Black Forest , si he is my private translator ).
But in the town I live in there’s a lot of industries and expatriates (40 % of the population) so the language is not a problem but I’ve to admit most of the time I speak (my bad) English

Thank you Corinne. I come from Hamburg and speak High German. left home when I was 20 years old and didn't know any English. and 65 years later I still translate from German into English, but I get by. learned English by watching TV - mostly kids shows as I found work as a children's nanny.
well enough of that. you're doing great with your English as far as I can tell. I love your pictures and hope and wish you and yours stay safe.
