Our view for the next while isnt too bad I guess. River to the right, Surfers Paradise straight ahead, and a touch of beach to the left.
Not my usual style of shot, pretty sure the horizon line is crooked and this was taken on my phone instead of my big girl camera so quality might suck a bit but I don't care because you know what?......I'm too busy not caring about anything much.

Speaking of big girl cameras... I had it hanging over the pram while we went out walking. Came home, folded up the pram and forgot the camera was still hanging off it...smash...right onto tiled floor. The sound was sickening. Thankfully the UV filter took the brunt of it all and cracked and bent. No idea how the 24-70mm L series managed to stay intact but it did. I was basically doing cartwheels all over the place when I realised it wasn't damaged.
Yeah, not bad at all! Looks like an amazing place to spend little time. Enjoy, relax, have fun! Not so good about the lens, glad its not seriously damaged.

Could be worse! Is this a move for some time? We're moving out to Perth for 2 years in the summer!

Super panoramic! Thanks for sharing your vacation view. I hope you get to enjoy lots of different things out there. Got such a laugh out of your comment about not caring about much right now. That's how it's suppose to be on a vacation. Scary about your camera tho; glad it survived the crash.

Midrange 2.8 zooms are also meant for self defense. You probably could have thrown it off the building and only cracked the pavement.

That's a horrible view. How are you putting up with it? :)

@scotthouston Yeah Ive come to realise that! Thank f*ck because it would have cost me a mint to repair I suspect. As for the view....Im actually over it..hahaha... Im happiest in a more natural, more remote holiday spot so this is definitely a change of pace. We are having fun but turns out Surfer's isnt really my cup of tea.
