They don't last long, but while they are blooming in their glorious profusion they are one of Spring's most sublime spectacles. They are so beautiful and varied and they bring a smile to my face always.

Love the lighting in this photo, John. A great shot. Did I tell you that my husband was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer almost 5 weeks ago? It has been crazy, lots of testing and a visit with his Urologist last Monday. Decided that surgery is best and needs to be at UCSF, University of California, San Francisco. He has a consult with a surgeon on March 12 at UCSF and has an endoscopy and colonoscopy in Sacramento on March 20 so looks like surgery is sometime after that. Sure makes life change in a heartbeat. Still have to do daily things but all seems to change in perspective as well. Praying all goes well and they get it all and it does not come back. I hope you are doing well and your Mom is doing ok too. A lot on your plate to deal with. Nice to hear from you and take care. Oh, we have been online looking at homes/condos in South Carolina as the cost of living is so expensive here. We have looked in Florida as well. Homes are going up daily it seems here as well as just having a home. They sell fast and have bidding wars too. Cannot move till we are on Medicare in 2 years unless we are forced to before that. Then we figure it out and do what we need to. Yep, life in California and neighbors are feeling the pinch too. Take care and keep in touch.
