Wentworth Mansion, Historic District, Charleston. by congaree

Wentworth Mansion, Historic District, Charleston.

This is the second largest mansion in our historic district. It is now a hotel with a very fancy restaurant. It was designed in the Second Empire style and built in 1886, one of the newer houses in that area. It is quite a commanding presence from the street, and I pass it often in my walks. For those of you who are budget-conscious, it’s a bargain. Rooms start at only $400 a night!! 🥺. Just kidding! You can go to their Web site and take a virtual tour of the rooms. They are very luxurious, but what a place to stay for a night or two! 🧐
I like your perspective on this shot.
