I like the idea and the tunnel takes the eye through to the people. I might be wrong, but it looks like you exposed for the tunnel walls rather than the brighter sky in the background. Exposing on the bright area would have brought in some details there and it would have been possible to lift the shadows in post production. Good details captured in the stones.
