Our little town doesn't have a movie theatre but every Saturday during the summer they project a movie on the side of one of the buildings on main street. People bring their lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the movie. Even though it costs the city $250 in to pay for the licensing they don't charge a thing and popcorn and coke are only a dollar. I love our small town.
We have something like that in our small town during the summer months, except it is on a big blow up screen. The take donations...which is optional which we don't mind giving. The kids love it, and it brings everyone together.
Your photo and caption have swept me back in time to summers at my grandmother's home in Danforth, Ill, (pop 400) We'd have the same treat on the side of the feed store, and I remember it nostalgically! Thanks for that!
