We have a theme this month at our local camera club and have to submit a panning shot. I tried something different and asked a friend of ours to wheeley on his bike while I tried the panning technique. He didn't go too fast but I think the background is still showing the "speed or movement". what do you think, will this go through as a panning shot? Thanks for all your comments. Do appreciate them!
Your pan makes it look like he's moving pretty fast, and I think the clarity and focus of the bike and rider are excellent. I'm really impressed with everything about it
@megsy@andysg@jcarrollphoto - Thank you so much for your comments. I do really appreciate it!! Will let you know what they said at the club meeting :-) I took lots of photo's but this is a bit tricky
This is great panning Corne! The rider is so sharp and the motion blur makes it look as if he goes really fast. The dirt in the air behind the wheel is a specially nice touch! If I had many shots, I would take a look, if some of them is just as good, but without the tree in the background that is behind the front wheel, or I would lightenthe tree a bit. The overall impression is great, complete with gorgeous tones! So well done!
I my photography books there are some examples of panning shots. Believe me, yours is far better than all the examples I have seen in these books!! FAV
Really nice...very sharp, and the dust in the trail is a great touch. When you get a chance to try this again, you might play around with angles...to move the horizon higher or lower....I'm not sure what the effect would be.
this is an awesome shot, i love it, the focus on the rider is clear and sharp and the blurred background makes it look like he is going really fast. This is so good, its a FAV
Um... YEAH! You nailed it sister. I invite you to my project and look at the pic I posted yesterday. I'm working hard on panning and it hasn't come close to this. This, my darling, is a keeper.
I think you have done a great job of capturing the motion and keeping the rider clear. I tried this last weekend and my pics didn't quite get the background motion you have. Well done.
Fabulous job! Hope you get top marks for your homework, the bike is nice and crisp and really stands out from the blurred background, great sense of movement and the dust trail is perfect!
Thank you all so kindly. I will definately try some levels and see how it looks like. Thank you so much, I will send it in to the club and let u know how it went at the clubmeeting :-) Thanks for viewing and commenting
I thought this was 'Nuts and Bolts Guy" from Maggiemae in the thumbnail. LOL
