Araucaria heterophylla by corymbia

Araucaria heterophylla

I love the structural lines of Araucarias.
I love them too. A follower of mine told me that she has one planted in a pot in her living room in Israel!

@girlie They are all over the beaches here... and to be honest, I prefer them to hoop pine and Bunya pine as their needles are softer.
In other news, apparently thousands of Wollemi pines were dumped from the forestry nursery as they couldn't sell them. I would have gladly taken one off their hands to replace the one we bought for our 10th wedding anniversary (it hit clay and died).

Yes, they're very popular on the beaches here, too; esp. Pt Macquarie. Oh, that's terrible about the Wollemis. I've been trying to find one for my 'W' shot but have only found one that's been planted at a nursing home in front of the admin. block and the background is all wrong. It's hard to believe that people haven't been buying up those beautiful trees in droves.

Amanda I love this! It has an abstract quality I love with all those crisscross branches and the light stremi g through. Nicely done!!
