....and I toast you with this, my 730th photo.
My 200% complete photo.
My second Valentine's Day without you photo
It's been just under 2 years since we last shared a drink and sat in the sun. ...and I have missed you every single minute of every single day since then.
Yet today, I am feeling the love (when I thought I'd just be feeling what I'd lost): a rainbow in my wine glass, courting butterflies everywhere, a stroll along the beach, children's smiles and a feeling that you are always with me and have never really left.
I miss you today and everyday.
I love you always.
XA
And you know he's looking out for you and your kids. He's there, maybe not in the physical sense, but his spirit will always look out for you. Let that comfort you.
Oh Amanda, I just went back and looked at your photos from that terrible time in your life, and as the tears stream down my face, I cannot imagine how hard it must of been for you to be so strong for your beautiful family.
G will always be in your heart, and in the hearts of the children you made together.
@onie thank you .... those photos from 2 year ago are awful and patchy, but I'm glad I took them, if only to see the changed faces of my kids and to see how far we've all come.
Amanda, wed are glad you took them. As heartbreaking as this is for you, at least we can see that you can pull through something like this with love from your family. I don't know why we have to endure such bad things in our lives but the strength that comes from healing is so powerful. I feel privileged that you have let us into your life through your photos. Inspirational!
Beautiful and congrats on completing Year 2! Your husband lives on in your heart and your children. Thank you Amanda for all your comments and support. :-)
Year 3?!? I hope so!
Oh Amanda! This is a beautiful photo, and I've just read your Bio (which I realise now I had missed previosly)... you are an absolute inspiration. thank you
And here's to you, m' dear - what a wonderful shot, such touching words, and the perfect way to end your 2nd year. So glad to have 'found' you and your photos and so glad you are carrying on. x
200%! Wow. A great accomplishment through a very challenging time in your life. From what this project gives me I am going to assume it has been a great therapy for you also. You have a beautiful family and are a wonderful strong lady. Glad to have "met" you.
Amanda, this is a beautiful shot to celebrate the love you had, I am sorry for you, but feel the light in this picture shows the light that is always with you, and thats why today you should feel the love.. Well done on completing the two years, you are a real inspiration for me, as I go through my grief, but I also understand the loss in every minute..even if its surrounded by the love..
@kerristephens@lilbudhha@ts thank you so much. I didn't notice the rainbow flare until I uploaded it to the computer..... like a big 'HELLO DARL' in my face :)
This is a beautiful photo. I love how you're choosing to see the beauty in the world to honor what you've lost. Congratulations on finishing your second year!!
Beautiful shot! Congratulations on 200%! And with time things do get easier not something you will ever get over - I love your honesty and your willingness to share I have been looking at your blogs since the photography as therapy thread - what an amazing group! Big virtual hug
