Got some macro tubes. They are meant to be able to talk to the electronics in the 400D, but I can't take a shot on AF ..... I can only snap the shutter on MF which SUCKS as my eyesight is not that good. Anyone got some good tips for me?

I suspect that this is one of the side effects of extension tubes. You've certainly managed to focus this well.

The macro tubes won't talk? Better than not being able to shut them up I guess. I always use MF, but my camera only has Live View and the Focus Peaking feature is amazing - I know the Canons can get Focus Peaking by running Magic Lantern, but I don't think the 400d has Live View?

Your eyes seem to be working fine, the detail and focus are perfect! I use rings, but these look to be a better alternative to $$$ macro lens. You rocked this shot!
