The River Irt

This is the River Irt (built in 1894) steam train on the Ravenglass to Eskdale Railway also known as the La'al Ratty which in Cumbrian dialect means little railway. The purpose of the railway back in 1875 was to transport hematite iron ore from the hills of Boot, Eskdale down to Ravenglass where it could then go on to Barrow in Furness.
Brilliant! Looks appropriate for the Island of Sodor. Instant Fav!
