Cooks Monument by craftymeg

Cooks Monument

Another from yesterday, a different field and view. This is my favourite tree which I photograph every season, it's a happy coincidence that this year the field its in is full of rape.
In the distance on the hill to the left is Captain Cooks Monument where walkers visit on a regular basis, this hill is just to the right of Roseberry Topping the next hill along and is on the outskirts of Great Ayton. So many pretty places around this area at this time of year.
Better on black

Thank you for all your comments and favs, I was very much surprised and pleased to see yesterday's photo on the Popular Page, it makes it all worth while.

It is definitely fabulous on black - love the lone tree - and what a bonus to find it in that field of rape. Stunning colors against the blue sky.
