Didn't notice until I loaded this shot that it had caught the fine whiskers on this Foxglove...

Who knew that foxgloves were hairy! Great capture and amazing detail :)

The entrance hairs deter smaller insects from crawling into the flower. The hairs may also offer some support to the bumble bee as it scrambles for grip upon landing. Good shot.
