Village by craftymeg

Village

The village of fishermens huts nestle in the grassy sand dunes in the sight of the old Tata Steelworks. It really is as miserable as it looks, sunshine improves it little and on a day like yesterday so grey and damp it had a sullen feel. Each hut has a chimney stack and there were several parked cars, and huts with smoking chimneys, I would think it could be quite snug on a day so grey, a men only domain maybe?? !!

I like the way the fishermen's huts seem more important even though they are smaller in size.

The huts look so small compared to the vast steel works behind. Good shot

What an interesting scene you've documented here. There is a story here. Perhaps not the real story, but if one let's his/her imagination loose...

I couldn't think that any lady who is not a 'fisherwoman' herself would be interested in spending time here.

excellent composition - loving the forefront weeds, with rubbish entwined, aiding the air of abandonment, with more rubbish between the huts.. The atmosphere is so well depicted - the gloom and sullenness jump out of the image..
