I can’t believe my orchid is in flower for the third time in a year ! This time it’s surpassed itself and has 16 flowers and still another frond growing which might squeeze a few more flowers when these have finished. I’ve never had success with orchids before but this one loves me!! I think the orchid food I feed it with every few days helps along with putting it in and out of the kitchen window helps to keep it on the go. It even flowered in winter sat in the cold kitchen window, the only thing it doesn’t like is a lot of direct sunlight. It’s been the best gift of flowers I have ever had.

Gorgeous close up! Please tell me the name of the orchid food! I inherited one of Mom's precious orchids that bloomed a couple times a year for her. I carefully adjusted the large stem of flowers and it broke off in my hand! That was 2 years ago! There hasn't been any noticeable growth since. : (

Hi Lois, any good orchid food will do, I buy it at the garden centre here in the UK, so I don’t know if you would get the same over your way. Anyway the one I have is called LORBEX specialist foods ORCHID MIST. I spray it on the leaves every few days and on the top of the pot after watering I’m not heavy handed, just a couple of squirts is enough, it’s in a spray bottle. I hope you find something like it.
