Enchanted Forest

For those who asked yesterday what I used my pencils on here is just one example. It’s in Johanna Besford’s Enchanted Forest colouring book. It took a few days to complete now it needs just the finishing touches of the background added.

I use my pencils for adding colour to my toppers for the cards I make too.

I have just recently started colouring like this and find the quality of pencils make a big difference to the finish results of the piece. I never thought I would enjoy the experience as I have done, pencils have come a long way over the past few years and it’s so relaxing.

This picture is coloured with prismacolor pencils and I usually use a different set each time I start a new picture.
Better on black

Thank you for all the lovely comments and favs all are appreciated and welcome.
Good job, I’ve deliberately avoided doing this, as I can see it would take up a lot of precious time

Thank you Hazel, please, if you need any help or advice on what to get to start you off just message me and I will be happy to pass on what I have learnt over the years. I have a sister who gets a lot of comfort from using art to ease her problems, her birthdays and christmases are so easy to cater for!! And I have found myself dropping off to sleep while I have been colouring it’s that relaxing, I’m hooked!!

Now I, too must get back to colouring. I always make a bit of a mess going over the lines which spoils the whole picture! This is terrific! fav

I admire the delicate shading of colors. I'm afraid adult coloring for me would be a swap of crayons for pencils and hope that I'd be able to stay in between the lines.

Lovely. My mum loves her colouring! She used to like knitting but the wool irritates her skin now so colouring has been great for her

This came out so pretty! I have Prismacolor pencils from 30 years ago! I don't use them that often anymore...maybe I should.
