A photo of the sweep of the bay from Sandsend to the harbour at Whitby. Taken last week as we descended the steep road into Sandsend village. In the distance is Whitby Abbey and church on the headland and the harbour with its two lighthouses. The sweep of the bay makes its way around to Sandsend, it’s a popular coastline to walk around when the tide is out, the small dots on the beach are folk coming along from Whitby towards Sandsend.
