This afternoon at the South Gare we watched this container ship sailing out to sea down the river from dropping its load. The foreground shows a now rotting landing stage which my hubby assures me he used to use to fish from when he was a boy. It’s only use now is to give the birds somewhere to sit, it’s usually full of seabirds but today there wasn’t many.
