Between the Groynes

This view was taken this afternoon, between the groynes looking towards Saltburn on the left and Marske on the right in the distance. The weather was bright fine and hazy with sunshine and temps of 12C. A lovely day for November, as you can see there were quite a few folk out and about enjoying the weather and all socially distanced which was reassuring.

I never heard of a groyne before. Perhaps some should be built on the east coast of the US to keep the shoreline from washing away.
