Tonight I went to the 1st Baptist church in town to help serve a meal for the homeless. After they ate they all came to the back room and were given big gift bags. We had 170 bags and gave out 160... Also we set up our camera and back drop and took pictures of them so they can come back next week and have a picture for themselves or to give to someone else.
I observed so many different kinds of people. Some were so happy and thankful while others were strung out on drugs or alcohol. A few told me the craziest stories I had ever heard. I would be so afraid if I was inside their minds. I have a whole new outlook on the homeless. Most just needed someone to listen to them or just be hugged.
