That tree is stunning Chrus...not often you see blue flowers! That is a Jacaranda tree, I wouldn't know what one looked like but I do know the name.

WOW! thankyou everyone for your lovely comments and favs and for putting this one on the PP and TP. As I drove past this tree I just knew it had to make a great shot so on my return journey I was able to wait for a break in the traffic to get it with the church tower behind.

@yaorenliu they are very beautiful, especially when there is a whole street of them and the fallen flowers create a purple carpet.

@happypat Jacaranda trees are everywhere here Pat and some streets have them down both sides of the road. The flowers create a lovely purple carpet when they fall.
