This bridge was built over Brownhill Creek in 1875 to replace the ford which was often flooded in winter. However, bullock teams and horse drawn vehicles still preferred the ford as the noise of the hooves on the bridge scared the animals.
This narrow bridge was replaced in 1988 to accommodate the huge increase in traffic. It has been presrved and is now part of a large park area
