....definitely the wrong side of town.......this was a road of brothels apparently.....years ago when the sailors docked in Charlestown this was where they headed with their wages.....back fill.....
@swchappell Thank you. Charlestown was a very busy harbour in the 1800's with the export of China Clay. The 'Lord of the Manor; Charles Rashleigh saw the potential and rebuilt the harbour and brought the clay waggons in, thus creating jobs and housing. The local re-named the town after him as thanks.....was called West Polmear previously.
