Spring... by daffodill

Spring...

..is in the air!
Today was an amazing morning - cold and frosty, but beautiful sunshine.
According to the forecast it was due to be misty where we live, with more sunshine to the south and west, brightening more later.
We decided to head west.
Church Stretton was our destination.
We had a lovely journey, but contrary to the forecast, it got greyer the further west we travelled.
I was last in church Stretton over 35 years ago, when on Duke of Edinburgh!
We enjoyed looking round the shops and had lunch at Ginger & Green coffee House.
The church is amazing and well worth a visit.
The surrounding hill tops were sprinkled with snow,
we had planned on doing the walk to the woods, but rain set in, so we drove up to the car park at Carding Mill Valley to admire the views. Another day we WILL walk! :)
Time was getting on, so we headed to Little stretton church, a delightful black and white church with a thatched roof.
On the way we passed through Bromfield, so we stopped their on the way back. The church has the most amazing ceiling paintings and a ruin.
We watched the lambs and I took this shot of crows as they flew past. Note the twigs in the beak of the first one - spring is on it's way!
We stopped at the Ludlow Food Centre for a coffee - but they had just closed (at 4pm!!!!!!!!!!)
I did buy some cheese and proper tomato sauce :)
Perfection !
