The bottom of the kitchen window had a sheet of ice on it in the morning. This week, I tried to take macro shots with a bit of the background showing. Showing the background is supposed to establish the sense of place in photos. I am not there yet with my macros. The background in this photo shows the outdoor brown grass. The golden patches are where the sunlight lit up the grass.
In February, I participated in the Flash of Red (BW) challenge. In March, I want to do the photographic exercises in the book, Extraordinary Everyday Photography. As in February, I will probably take my shots on the day before I proces them. When I am trying something new, this relieves some of the stress. I always feel that if I completely mess up, I can take better photos on the next day. We will see how well I do with these exercises. I have a feeling they will be a challenge.
