July 30: Shadows on the blossom

I always am startled when I see one plant's shadow on another plant. I think, "Where did that shadow come from? It does not belong to this plant." Then, I look around to see where the shadow came from. In this case, a stem of the aster cast its shadow on a hibiscus blossom. Today's photo is for the light and shadows theme of the BW fortnight challenge.
Nice job on the shadows here.

It almost looks like a canvas! Nice definition and contrast of the B&W

I was immediately drawn to that shadow- it's so delicate and pretty. Lovely catch!

The angles of the shadows really make a neat effect,...as does the shell-like blossom of the hibiscus. Neat!

@maggiemae Thank you! I almost did not select this show due to the way the flower petals looked, but I like the shadow. I am glad you liked this one.

@golder365mjsmith Thanks! I find it difficult to photograph hibiscus blossoms. I did not like how the blossom looked, but I liked how the shadow looked. I am glad you liked this.

@pyrrhula Thank you. Your fav encourages me. I wasn't sure that I liked this photo. I liked the shadow, but not how the flower looked.
