What happened to the water?

The puddle (my January photo subject) dried up. It was frozen mud in the morning when I took this picture. Later on in the day, the mud thawed, but no water appeared. My puddle did not make it until the end of January. P.S. If you look really carefully at the top of the right hand side of the leaf, you might see some star shaped designs in the mud. I took a macro shot of some of the star shaped designs in the puddle and did discover a TINY bit of frozen water. (see my 365 2 project for that shot)
So close to the end of the month! It's been a great series!

Was it windy? Water can still evaporate if there's wind blowing around. In a way your puddle did make- but not in its original form. Great job in sticking with it Daisy!
