Fluffed Up Goldfinch by daisymiller

Fluffed Up Goldfinch

It has been cold all week. I took this picture from my dining room window. This goldfinch was all fluffed up due to the cold air. Again, I increased the exposure value when shooting my pictures, as part of the Flash of Red (BW) challenge. When I processed this to black and white, I was surprised to see how the bird feeder tray looked. It looks like it is made out of aluminum, but it is made out of copper (or something that looks like copper). It is interesting to see what raising the exposure value does to various parts of a photographic image.
Like this as a b&w image - playing around with some of that too with the birds - will have to try it with increasing the exposure values. I like what you've done here. Fav

@milaniet Thank you so much for your comment and for your fav. I am finding that raising the exposure value is hit and miss for me. I am getting better, but still have much to learn.
