I saw this flooded river on the way to see my doctor for a regularly scheduled checkup and for an appointment to see about my allergy flare up. This river is often mentioned in flood warnings. The series of thunderstorms brought a lot of flooding. My city seemed to escape much of the storm damage. The ground became saturated with water and tree limbs were blown down. Fortunately my city missed the large hail, high winds, and tornadoes that hit other areas of my state. The ponds, lakes and rivers did flood in my part of the state. The farmers may have to replant part of the corn crop. However, the worst flooding occurred to the southern part of my state. My heart goes out to the people impacted by the flooding.
