November 28: Dead Flowers

I left the flower stalks in the center flower bed as a shelter for the birds. The good part is that the songbirds doe take refuge among the flower stalks. The bad news is that the Coopers Hawk has discovered this hiding place. The hawk ate one of the tufted titmouse this week. That made me sad and mad. I know that hawks have to eat, but I wish it would not have eaten such a gentle bird.
