Highway to Heaven?

Saw this bridge on our approach to the New Orleans airport. We were at least 10-15 minutes from landing. I have no idea where this was.

Magnificent. I believe it is the causeway across Lake Pontchartrain (sp?) Have been across this. It is about 38 miles long I believe. You have really captured it so well....love the title. FAV

Thank you all so much for your comments and favs. Because of you, it made it to the popular page! I asked today, and Gina was right. The bridge connects the north and south shores of Lake Pontchartrain. Not sure I will be traveling on the bridge, but it was nice to see the lake up close today. We have been seeing quite a lot of New Orleans.
