Here, my friend is pinning on his corsage.
Great shot, Danette.

Danette you can't possibly have a grown up son. You look far to young to be his mum! Lovely shot

@shepherdmanswife :-) My son who just married will be 30 next month. :-0 However did that happen??

I agree you look too young to have a man for a son. Lovely portrait, what white teeth!

Wonderful capture. I'm sure this will bring nice memories back to him each time he sees it.

I never would guess from your profile pic that you would have a son this old. I like his expression.

You captured such a cheerful expression! Looks like it was a wonderful day and occasion.

Congratulations on a wonderful occasion!

so more weddings to come?

He looks so happy! And I agree with others -- you look far too young for a son who is 30!

@chard Hopefully next year. Waiting for the above to pop the question to the young lady I posted earlier in the week. When it was time for my other son to throw the garter, he flung it directly at his brother!

LOVE your comment just above! When I saw your photo of that beautiful girl, I didn't want to presume, but thought to myself, "I hope you don't let this beauty get away!" How nice to "meet" your sons, family & friends here, and I also look forward to more wedding photos! (Is this the son who was hospitalized in the recent past? So glad to see both your sons looking adorable, strong & healthy!)

@Weezilou Yes, this is the son who was hospitalized. His foot is still on the mend. :-/ He and the girl have been together 4 years now and I think the question will be "soon". I will probably post a group shot from the wedding photographer when we get them. My friend confiscated my camera after the boutonnieres were pinned. I didn't even have my phone the entire night as she held tight to it!

@danette You're a stronger woman than I would have been! I was fortunate that when Ash & John married on our back deck in Lunenburg, she wanted no outside help beyond the few friends & family. As such, I got to do the photos, and fortunately, we have some favorites amongst them! Otherwise, I'd have constantly been seeing photo moments that I'd fear might be missed...

@Weezilou I can understand why you'd want to take the photos with a wedding at your home. It was my job to photograph the men getting ready and that was plenty. Honestly, every time I looked up at the wedding, our hired photographer was there. He is a friend and I dare say he ended up with thousands of photos. If I wanted anything, all I had to do was ask. I know he did one setting that I really wanted...I had a silver hand mirror that belonged to my MIL prior to when she was married. It was engraved with her last name initial: "H". Well, the bride's name is Heather! So, I did see him posing her with it prior to the wedding. Definitely looking forward to seeing his shots. There was an uncle who probably took many hundreds of shots, too. He was just in the way. :-(
