One of my favorite places, where the town square is lit up with lights and events through the Christmas season. Not my best shot, but I had impatient people with me!
@danette - Is Ocala the place that has all the horse ranches? My grandson told us when he and his family were relocating to Florida that he wanted to work with horses. My wife was doing some research and found a city not too far from Panama City that had many horse ranches. Ocala sounds familiar. The reason I ask is the horse statue.
@skipt07 Ocala is home of many Thoroughbred horse farms. It has a special soil that is similar to that in Kentucky. Many of the horses that race in the big races are Florida bred or trained. It's far from Panama City. though...closer to Orlando.
BTW, I have tons of patience! It is my family who didn't have the patience for my photographs. I would have stayed much longer.
@danette - I read your commentary wrong. I thought you were talking about the people in the picture. I thought that you wanted a clean shot of the lights and statue without people in it. My bad!
That must not be it then. I was thinking the town she found was and hour or less from PC which would have been easy for him to get a summer job there.
