This is the interior of the church I posted yesterday, in very rural Texas. There is actually a gate that I couldn't get passed, but I enjoyed it just the same.
@skipt07 Yes. All of the painted churches, spread over a large area south of Austin, are very popular to see. If you are with a tour group, they can get passed the gate. I was the only one in this church. I didn't have time for tours that start from another location. I loved this church. Can you believe they painted over these details back in the 50's?
Beautiful! So charming. Almost a crime, to paint over those details. If I ever get to tour Austin, I have to remember that these painted churches are there.
