How we need more intellects like Jefferson in Washington today! I can guarantee that if there were acres of barren land surround DC we would be hard-pressed to find anyone in that last 30-40 years worth a monument such as this to fill that land.
Oh, lovely. I have biked and run right down this road so many times... lovely to see Jefferson's right shoulder, peeking out behind the elegant columns. Iconic.
@skipt07 We didn't get to see much in DC but I had to go back to this one. It is so majestic. Jefferson is soooo big. I have much respect for our founding fathers.
