Seminole Dolls by danette

Seminole Dolls

Hand made by the Seminole Indians. They are made of fiber husk. The clothing represents the traditional clothes of the men and women. These were always fascinating to me when I was a child.
Very nice shot. I llike the way you've included glimpses of other dolls and costumes, as well.

I buy dolls like this when I can find them and have begun a small collection for our granddaughter. They're a lovely teaching tool and sweet to own!

Oh my! my grandmother had some Seminole dolls and a long skirt made by them. She lived in Fort Pierce.

What a great way to keep their history and traditions alive for the next generation. Beautiful colors and I like your DOF showing a hint of the other dolls.
