I saw my first rare ghost orchid yesterday. This was as close as I could get to it (using my 400 mm lens!!). There are four blooms on the left side of the trunk, above the limb. I noticed when processing it that the tree also looks like a ghost!
@joansmor@henrir@louannwarren They are very rare orchids. They grow on trees in the Everglades with a certain acidity. They are pollinated by only one moth. Clyde Butcher (famed Florida photographer) has made them "famous". Normally, you have to traipse through swamp to see one.
Well spotted :)
