The stunning view from Border Ranges National Park, NSW.
This took me AGES in Gimp to create a panorama. I'm happy I taught myself something new today but realise how far I have to go.... so, if anyone wants to teach me Gimp, I would be forever grateful and will keep you in chocolate cake, scones, coffee, wine, etc. all day!
very well done! my head is exploding with Lightroom 4. i dare not try another bit of software. good luck! you can always share the wine and chocolate cake for your well wishers though. :-)
@jgpittenger Thanks Jane. I know that to many people this would be a simple task, so I'm happy with it, now that I know how to do it I might just do some more!!
@loragill hmm yes I think one could waste a WHOLE lot of time on Gimp. Best to point and shoot I reckon! Just started following you on Pinterest ('m not a stalker, promise! lol)
An easy bit of software to use is Serif Panorama Plus - the free starter edition works well. Just load the photos and press the go button and it works everything out for you and creates the panorama in 20 secs. Then all you do is load it into Gimp or similar and crop it to the right shape.
Incredible what a plateau and I love the detail of what I think are grass trees in the foreground. Stunning in every way and just brings back so many memories of Australia
Really nice
- and a great deal for the lucky teacher of gimp :)
