Not your typical beach shot i know, but as a teenager and growing up in Brighton & Hove i used to sometimes just sit in my car or one of these huts and just stare at the view in front of me.
During the quieter tourist months it was the perfect place to collect your thoughts whilst taking in the sights, sounds and smells the seafront had to offer.
That's one of the main things i miss about not being beside the sea and though we often visit - it's never the same as having it all on your doorstep.
Nice shot! Brighton is just about on my doorstep and I hate the place mostly because I occasionally had to work down there and rush hour driving and parking were (and still are) a nightmare.
Lovely peaceful shot. I live about a mile from the sea, and though I don't go onto the beach very often I couldn't imagine not just having it there to take the coastal route to places
Great story to this high key shot, Darren. I used to spend a lot of time myself sitting on the rocks in my hometown looking ou to sea - sounds all a bit inward looking but I know where you're coming from. Fav!
Great exposure technique, gives the image a 'dream' like (well for me anyway :)) feel which sits well with your description. There are a couple of shelters on Penzance Promenade but they are not as good as these, may have a go at photographing though - thanks for the inspiration....
